Raw Food Dieting

This is a short video on how to transition into a raw food diet. The video suggest that we start our day with a glass of water with fresh squeezed lemons. Also try fresh fruit smoothies for breakfast and skip some of the more dense breakfasts that weight you down. The goal is to slower remove yourself of heavy fat laden meals in your diet including breads, pasta, processed grains and processed sugars.

My wife and I have been transitioning our family into a raw foot diet for the past few weeks and we have seen some healthy changes. This was prompted by finding out that our oldest daughter has diabetes. We both have lost weight and we have more energy throughout the day. We have both slept better but it isn’t just the raw food diet alone. We have been walking 3 miles every day and the best news of all is that my oldest daughter Jessica has lost 8 pounds and her blood sugar levels are improving.

Good for you. I couldn't do it, though. My son, especially, couldn't do it. He is such a picky eater.

I have tried doing a raw food diet before. I personally did not have much success because I love pasta and breads. I could totally live without meat, but don't mess with my pasta-lol. However, the raw food diet is a very healthy diet if you can make it a lifestyle change. Great info and good luck with the new diet.

Thank you Tammy. My son is the only picky one in our home of five.

Thanks Jo. The hardest part for me is the breads. I have been able to give up red meat but chicken is still part of our diet.

You know, I have been doing this the past few weeks and I feel amazing. Mostly berries and fruits.

The lemon water is something I have. We have eliminated process foods, it started when we emigrated to Cyprus. We grow our own veg, so it is fresh and sweet.
All fruit is given to us, again it is freshly picked.

Most of our foods are raw. Meditteranean eating is our new style.

So glad you are making changes. I have not had an illness since end of 2005, not a cold nothing. It works.

I just juiced up some apples, oranges and a few carrots this morning with a handful of walnuts for breakfast. Tasted great and satisfying.
