Kayaking photos below the Deception Pass Bridge
An aerial view from the Deception Pass Bridge. This island is known as Ben Ure Island. This island's history will forever be known as the island where Chinese illegal immigrants were smuggled in for labor.
Flat Stanley visits Deception Pass. Flat Stanley originated in the 1950's as a children' class project. Flat Stanley is crafted by students and is mailed along with a letter to friends and family in hopes that he gets photographed in historical sites across the country. Each stop he goes to, the receptive party photographs him and writes a small note back to the love one about the historical significances of the place Flat Stanley visited. The student then presents this information and photographs to the class.
My family photographed these two bald eagles perched high over Maylor Point while on our nightly nature hike.
This Great Blue Heron was photographed on the same night as the two bald eagles.
