Tofu has come a long way! With the advent of firm tofu, a variety of tasty dishes can be made from this healthful food.Tofu is bland so it is a perfect medium--it dresses up well with flavoring. It has a pleasing consistency, very much like chicken, and when prepared properly, can be delicious.
I served barbequed tofu at a dinner and my guests thought they were eating barbequed chicken. Everyone wanted the recipe.
-Barbequed Tofu-
- Barbequed tofu strips can be added to salad
- Eaten as a side dish
- Added to pita sandwiches
- Placed on a bun for bunwiches
- Added to lightly steamed vegetables
Barbequed tofu is crispy, appetizing, and makes a great low-fat alternative to meat.
